Genetically Modified Food for Thought (GMFT) is a industrial techno project rather than a band properly so-called. It is the result of the inspiration of Benjamin Masse of Montreal and Allan Kinney of Hull, Quebec. These two friends envisioned a danceable, improvised math rock high-technology performance series as the next step in their musical collaboration. Accordingly, their show is an experiment in progress - an experiment in harmonies and enharmonies, in sounds and sound effects. The audience is treated to an unusual synergy between computers and sequencers, on the one hand, and organic instruments on the other, in which both are vehicles for extemporaneous showmanship of experimental electronica.
